Stories or narratives have been shared in every culture as a means of entertainment, education, cultural preservation, and to instill moral values. Rules and Eligibility of Story Telling Competition
   
1. Participants that allow joining “Story Telling” competition are: Senior High School students of class X, XI, and XII; college students of 5th semester (maximum) from Java and Madura regions.
2. Participants can register online and make payments through the Bank
3. Participants must submit student ID card and the copy of proof payment
4. Participants must attend the technical meeting, if they do not attend the technical meeting, they will be   disqualified.
5. Total caps are 40 participants.
6. The story can be modified as creative as possible, but the original essence of the story has to be kept.
7. Participants are required to bring tools and equipment to support performances.
8. Participants may wear any clothes and costumes according to the theme of the stories which will be performed.
9. Terms and regulations which have not been listed here will be announced at technical meeting.


 There are 3 rounds on this story telling competition
-Adjudication criteria are based from the amount of point from each criteria
-Different with the 2 rounds, on the final round, the maximum duration given is 10 minutes for performing

-The theme of the story in the final round will be announced to each contestants after the announcement of semi final round

-Time Keeper on preliminary and semifinal round will show warning signals by ringing the bell, as follows;

Ø  1 time  = remains for 3 minutes

Ø  2 times = remains for 5 minutes

Ø  3 times = remains for 7 minutes. A 60 second additional period is allowed but will cause points deduction.

-Time Keeper on final round will show warning signals by ringing the bell, as follows;

Ø  1 time = remains for 4 minutes

Ø  2 times = remains for 8 minutes

Ø  3 times = remains for 10 minutes. A 60 second additional period is allowed but will cause points deduction.

-The decision of the adjudicators cannot be changed at all



Preliminary Round (Prepared Story)


1. Prepared theme would have been given or would have been posted on escfibub.blogspot.com two weeks before the competition.
2. There will be only 20 participants from SHS and 20 participants from University.
3. Participants must bring 3 copies of their script and give them to the committee before the competition started.
4.The announcement of semifinalist will be announced after the preliminary round.



Semi Final Round (Prepared Story) 

1.    The theme for Semi-Final round will be announced after the preliminary round. 
2.    There will be only 10 participants from SHS and 10 participants from University. 
3.    The story that will be performed must be confirmed to the committee before the competition started. 
4.    The order of performance will be based on lottery that taken before the competition started.  
5. The announcement of grand finalist will be announced after break time on the same day.

Grand Final Round (Impromptu Story)

1.    The theme of Final round will be announced right after the announcement of grand finalist. 
2.    There will be 5 participants of this round. 
3.    The order of performance will be based on lottery that taken after the theme announcement.  
4.    Participants only have 120 minutes to prepare their performance (including break, pray, and lunch)  
5.  3 minutes before the performance, participants will take the lottery of the theme which will be performed.



·         Duration for Each Round
 
a.       Preliminary round          : Min = 5 minutes, Max = 7 minutes 
b.        Semi-Final round           : Min = 5 minutes, Max = 7 minutes 
c.        Final round                     : Min = 7 minutes, Max = 10 minutes
