      Short Movie competition is the latest update competition from English Student Competition 2014 due to the suggestion from those who supports ESC its self. In this competition, the participants can express their idea by creating a short movie which they can create whatever they want. However, we have to remember that the committe of ESC have discussed and prepared specific terms for this competition, like theme, genres, and etc. The Committees of ESC 2014 hope that those who want to express their idea (in this case is young generation) can join this competition. So, don't wait up! Let's be Young Generation who can make A Better Nation!

Technical round 

In this “Short Movie Competition”, there are two rounds. The first is Preliminary round and the second is Final round. In this contest, the number of participants is 30 teams. 

        - Preliminary Round 
      1)    There will be 30 teams in the Preliminary round. 
      2)   The assessment of this round is close assessment therefore the participants must not come to Malang.   
      3)  The announcement of grand finalist will be announced on escfibub.blogspot.com 
          - Final round 
      1)   There will be 5 teams in the Final round. 
2)  The participants must come to Malang for presenting their film in front of the adjudicators.

    Formats 
      Competition entrants must submit their entries in (Mp4) format with the resolution video for minimum 720p and video codec H.264 

    How long can it be? 
     Total running time for each film must be 15 minutes and 10 minutes for minimum, including titles and credits.

    Language 
     Your film must be narrated in English and if there is a dialogue in another language, you must provide subtitle in English. 

    Limitation of Submissions 
      You can only submit 2 films. However, there are three rules that apply: 
    - Every submitted film has to be registered separately. Please do not send multiple films within just one application. 
    - Please do not submit any films that already sent in (and/or declined) before. We are only interested in your newest works from the last 2013. 
    - If you have more than one film to be submitted, the first film that you have submitted will be accepted and the next film will be on the waiting list. If the registrant’s quota unfulfilled, your film will be entered later. 

Film File Submissions and File Naming 
     - After make payments through the Bank and do an online registration, the film makers will receive a short message as confirmation of their registration. Then the film has to be transmitted to the committee. This just can be done through mail or post. We do not send your items back. Please only send final cuts, no previews, no watermarks. In case your film will be picked into the official selection, we will screen the file which you have sent in. 
      - The submissions must include:       
                1)      Your final works must be send in DVD-RW 
          2)      Copy of student card maximum five of all personnels (two copies) 
          3)      Synopsis of the film 

       - The submitted film file must be named as follows. Please use capital 
letters. 
         For example: ESC 2014 – SYARIF MAULANA – MY STORY 

Miscellaneous 
   - The ESC accepts no responsibility for lost, late or undelivered entries, notifications or communications. The ESC reserves the right at its sole discretion to:       
                 1)      cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition; or 
           2)      amend these terms and conditions where reasonably necessary. 

   - By entering the Competition, you give the ESC permission to contact you from time to time with essential updates about the competition and, of course, contact you if you win.
